Our Curriculum

Music

At Mattishall Primary School, our intent is to create a life-long love for music whereby children gain a firm understanding of what music is and how it can help mould their future’s through singing, listening, composing and performing.

The integral nature of music creates an enormously rich palette from which children access fundamental abilities to succeed in life to progressively build self-confidence, creativity, self-reflection, emotional well-being, listening and cooperation skills.  We encourage children to explore the world of music for themselves to encourage growth as individuals. Children regularly have the opportunity to share, support and celebrate one another’s learning through performance. Music will allow all children to connect with people and places through a variety of different cultures, genres, styles and historical periods. Music is an important part of the broad and balanced enriching curriculum.

Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises fifteen Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
