Our annual needs assessment for Life Skills continues to tell us that Road safety is of high importance for our school. The local Public Health profile for our community has it as a high risk and our most recent consultation with our stakeholders also stated how important it is.

We promote road safety awareness in school with the support of the Norfolk County Council (Road Safety Communities Team), the local police and Pedal Power (Bikeability). During our awareness week Years 1-6 participated in at least one road safety workshop with the Norfolk Road Safety Communities Team. This included learning about the Green Cross Code, crossing the road safely and seatbelt safety. Reception children learnt how to cross the road safely and how to be safe when travelling in a car.
