Free School Meals

All children in Reception, year 1 and year 2 are entitled to a Free School Meal regardless of family income status.

In previous years families have had to apply for children to receive free school meals and their eligability has depended on the family being in receipt of certian benefits. Children whose families were in receipt of these benefits and therefore eligible for a free school meal brought Pupil Premium funding to the school which could be used in certian ways laid down by the government.

In order to access the Pupil Premium funding for children who would have been eligible for a Free School Meals under the previous arrangement we still need to have accurate data on the number of pupils from families in receipt of benefits of any kind.This data is also used by the LA and the DfE to analyse our school.

Therefore if you are claiming any of the benefits stated on page 2 and your child of any age in this school please use the 'general free school meal form'.

If you are not claiming any benefits and your child is in Reception, year 1 or year2 then please fill in the 'free school meals for infant age pupils only'.
