On Monday 13th October Year 1 and 2 visited Gressenhall Museum to take part in a 1950s day.
When the children arrived they went back in time to the 1950s. They spent time with Dorren in her cottage finding out how she lived. They spent time sweeping and preparing some delicious 'Cheesy Dreams'. They also visited Maisie's house. Maise was a bit more fortunate as she had a new twin tub washing machine, a telephone, television and a record player. Here the children observed Maisie's new things and polished the wooden objects. They also listened to some music and learnt some dance moves. The children also spent time looking at how toys changed during the 1950s, spent time doing some laundry (the old way) and then had a short time on the farm.
