Reading Café

On 12th November Years 1-6 hosted a whole school reading cafe. Parents/carers were invited to come into school to think and talk about their reading identity with their children.

Teachers spoke about their life as readers sharing a personal poster called 'My Life as a Reader'. This poster included information about their early reading experience, favourite books from the past and now, favourite genres and authors etc. Parents/Carers and their children were then asked to create their own posters. This event was well attended and it helped raise the profile of how important reading is.
