    Roman Conquest: Iceni Revolt trip

    3rd June 2025

In Year 3 our history unit is ‘Emperors and Empires’, focussing on the Romans. As part of our history learning, we went on a Roman Conquest: Iceni Revolt trip to The Time and Tide Museum. During the day, we experienced what is was like to be a Roman soldier. We were shown and learnt about different weapons and armour that would’ve been worn. We got to practise being a soldier and use swords and shields. We also learnt what it was like for slaves during the Roman Empire and explored different items that would’ve been used. We worked together with the Iceni tribe to fight against the Romans. We also made torcs and learnt about how the Iceni prepared for battle with the Romans. It was an excellent day and we had a lot of fun!

      Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises fifteen Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
