Year 2's Beach trip

On Thursday 3rd July the children in Year 2 went on a family beach trip to Well-Next-The-Sea. This was to support their Geography project on 'Coastlines' and their Design and Technology project 'Beach Hut'. Each child was accompanied by a family member. We were extremely lucky with the good weather. The children spent time observing the coastline. They collected natural materials like shells, pebbles and seaweed and created some sea creatures. The children also observed the beach huts and had the opportunity to complete a beach hut quiz. The children had a lovely time exploring the coastline, making sand sculptures and spending time in the sea. It was a great day. Lots of family members commented how lovely it was having some quality 1:1 time with their child and observing them with their peers. There was much fun and laughter throughout the day and many treasured happy memories were made.
