Complaints

We aim to work in partnership with you so that any issues are resolved quickly in the best interests of your child.

If you are concerned about any aspect of your child’s education or experience in school, you should make an appointment to see your child’s class teacher or contact him/her by note or phone call. We hope that this contact will be enough to resolve any minor problem.

However, if you are still unhappy and wish to take the matter further, you should contact the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher. If after discussion the matter remains unresolved, you may inform the Headteacher that you wish to make a formal complaint. The Headteacher will give you a copy of the Complaints Procedure, the name and address of the Clerk to the Governors of the school and if appropriate, the name of the person to whom you should write to in Children’s Services at County Hall.

You will be asked to make your complaint in writing, but if you wish to do so you will be able to attend a meeting with School Governors or Members and Officers of the County Council where your complaint will be explained to them and considered.

It will be for the Governors or the County Council to decide whether the complaint is justified and what should be done about it. If you are not satisfied when you are told of their decision, you may complain to the Secretary of State for Education.

If you wish to see the Headteacher, it is helpful if you phone for an appointment. We will always try to see you as soon as possible. However, in urgent cases, please call into school. We will always be glad to see you.

The Governing Body has adopted the County Council policy and guidance on Complaints Procedures. Further details are available on request.

Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises fifteen Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
