At Mattishall our Vision for mathematics is to teach a rich, balanced and progressive curriculum using Maths to reason, problem solve and develop fluent conceptual understanding in each area.

Mathematics at Mattishall Primary School provides all children with the opportunity to learn using the Concrete, Pictorial, Abstract approach. The mathematics that children learn will equip pupils with the confidence in applying the methods taught in order to build their fluency, problem solving and reasoning skills. This will ensure pupils are prepared for the mathematics they will encounter in everyday life.
